In February 2026, the Warwick Legal Network (WLN) gathered in the heart of the UAE for the Spring 2026 Conference. Hosted by the Paoletti Law Group, the event brought together legal professionals from across the globe under the ambitious theme: “Be Bold. Why Not?”.
As a international legal network, our focus was on exploring the positive and practical uses of AI in the legal sector and strengthening the relationships that define our global collaboration.
The Business Program: Innovation and Strategic Evolution
The conference featured a comprehensive business agenda designed to equip member firms with the tools needed for the future of law.
Friday, 13th February: AI Integration and Data-Led Insights
The first day of the business program focused on the technical and strategic shifts in the industry:
- “Technology, Data and Decision Making in Complex Transactions” – Presented by Rob Cant and Katya Pimonova (SiSo Technologies), this interactive session demonstrated how data-led tools are transforming transactional processes and enhancing efficiency.
- “AI Won’t Replace Lawyers. Lawyers Using AI Will” – In his keynote address, Professor Christian Farioli highlighted the importance of adaptability and strategic implementation in an increasingly digital landscape.
- “Between Fear and Frustration: The Use of AI in the Legal Business” – Diane Frank (Chair of WLN Technology Focus Group) led an open-room discussion on real-world experiences, adoption challenges, and jurisdictional opportunities.
- WLN Board Report – Presented by Carlo Gurioli, David Elvira Benito, Gautam Khurana, and Mario Van Santvoort, outlining the network’s strategic progress.
- Additional AI Materials – Shared in collaboration with Juliusz Tomeczek (AI for Everyone) via a digital avatar, these materials demonstrated practical applications and introduced the P.C.T.S.F prompting framework.
- WLN 25th Anniversary Autumn Conference – Stockholm 2026 – Introduced by Andreas Klow (Flood Herslow Holme), offering an early insight into our upcoming milestone gathering.
Saturday, 14th February: Leadership and the “Second Curve”
The business program concluded with a focus on long-term growth and leadership:
- “The Self-Disruption Strategy: Outpacing Your Own Success“ – Naheed Khan (Futurwits) explored the “Second Curve” concept, arguing that the greatest risk to a firm’s future is complacency rather than competition, and encouraged firms to be proactive in technological transformation.
Strengthening Global Ties Through Cultural Connection
A hallmark of any WLN gathering is the opportunity for international commercial litigation lawyers and advisors to build the personal trust that underpins our network’s success. Following the business program, delegates experienced the Arabian Desert Experience, involving a convoy of 4×4 vehicles traveling into the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve for dune bashing, a traditional falcon display, and a Bedouin-style dinner. On Saturday, the social program concluded with an optional lunch at Jovee Restaurant, providing views of the Dubai Fountain and the Burj Khalifa.
Save the Date: Stockholm 2026
The Dubai conference set a high bar for innovation. We are now preparing to celebrate our 25th Anniversary in Sweden.
WLN Autumn Conference – Stockholm: Thursday, 17th – Saturday, 19th September 2026.
Whether you are seeking global legal advisory services or navigating cross-border dispute resolution, our network remains committed to being “bold” in a rapidly evolving legal landscape.
