WLN Barcelona Conference

 

So many thoughts spring to mind so soon after the WLN conference in Barcelona last weekend.  For example, the working sessions were lively, stimulating and occasionally funny.  Whether they spoke about the future of the world's economy, the present issues around inward investment, cross-border corporate law or Brexit (that's not a complete list!), our speakers were fantastically well prepared, engaging, opinionated (we do like a good opinion - to challenge, of course) and enthusiastic.  Thanks to all our speakers & contributors for making the time fly by. 

Also, the food and the venues were to die for.  Dinners with a view of the city or harbour, quiz-walks around the heart of Barcelona and even the 6th floor pool bar in the hotel - all memorable.

But my most cherished memories will be about the people, the conversations, the hard work and the laughter.  I'll get over the trauma of projectors breaking down soon enough (the medical treatment will see to that).  It's always about the warmth and the quality of the relationships in WLN, above all else.  For those who joined us for the 1st time as candidates or guests, we hope you had a blast and felt it was productive too.  We value your time and contribution to our discussions.

We have to thank David Elvira, Gloria Vinals, Estela Gonzalez and all the team at BUFETE MAÑÁ KRIER ELVIRA for being the perfect hosts.  A hard act to follow!
