It is a pleasure and privilege to let you know the outcome of the recent WLN director election. It was a very close vote and the result was as follows:
• Gautam Khurana (New Delhi, India) – elected
• Mario van Santvoort (Brussels, Belgium) – elected
• Randy Whitmeyer (Raleigh, NC, USA) – elected
• Theo Macours (Tessenderlo, Belgium) – not elected
Thanks to all the candidates for putting your names forward, in what was the first ever contested election in WLN’s history, as far as we know. The voting was close, which merely reinforces the Board’s view, that we had a very strong and well qualified field.
To our successful candidates – congratulations & welcome to the Board! We look forward to your participation in the Board’s work. It is very exciting to mark this moment in the widening geographical development of WLN whilst also strengthening our original core.
